Viral Picnic Photoshoot
Everything you need to know about my Viral Picnic Photoshoot.
So in 2020 I decided to go into the backyard of my parents house and create a Cottage Core photoshoot, which I didn’t even know what Cottage Core was until after the photos went viral. These photos made it to Twitter and Tik Tok, then eventually reaching to Pinterest.
This was actually my first photoshoot since buying my canon eos r which was the biggest investment I ever purchased in my life. I legit had the option to get a new car or a camera, and of course I chose the camera. This investment was the best decision I ever made because 6 months after using this camera I became full time with creating content. (But that’s another story) .
So I actually seen a trend on tik tok about picnic photoshoots and decided to hop on extremely early, mind you this was a very small niche that was getting a lot of exposure. A lot of creators on this trend were white and didn’t have much diversity so I think that played a big part in the reason these photos went viral. Another reason was probably my curly wig. Mind you this was my second time creating this hairstyle. So of course I had a hair tutorial on this style which skyrocketed my youtube channel from 10,000 to 15,000 subscribers.
There were so many factors that played a part in the virality of these photos, but I definitely wanted to share these photos again for my website. These photos were ICONIC in my career as a content creator and probably the main reason you guys follow me till this day. I definitely want to document big moments in my career to help inspire you guys to continue working and mastering your craft.
Below I have a full tutorial on how I created this picnic photoshoot as well as a hair tutorial on the blonde synthetic wig.
